Lytton’s former home, Knebworth House, is one of England’s most beloved stately homes and has been in the Lytton family since 1490. This beautiful gothic mansion with its grounds, park and is situated 29 miles north of London.
Date & Timings: Saturday, 14th September 2013
Depart Melton Mowbray at 9.00 am. Arrive Knebworth House at approx. 11.00 am.
Depart Knebworth House 5.00 pm. Arrive Melton Mowbray at approx. 7.00 pm.
Food outlets. There is a self-service cafeteria and picnic areas.
The cost of £24.00 (HHA members £13.00) per person includes coach travel, parking, gratuities and entrance tickets. Spare places may be offered to non-Society members who will be charged an additional £1 to secure temporary membership.
To reserve a place on the outing please return the completed booking form to the organizer with the full amount payable – cheques made out to the Melton Mowbray & District Historical Society – by 31st August. Please enclose a stamp addressed envelope or an e-mail address so that receipt of your reservation may be acknowledged. Payments for reservations cancelled within 2 weeks of the outing may be partially refunded provided entrance tickets have not been purchased.
DEPARTURE AND ARRIVAL WILL BE FROM THE MELTON & DISTRICT INDOOR BOWLS CLUB, LEICESTER ROAD, MELTON MOWBRAY (NEAR B&Q DIY STORE). PLEASE INDICATE ON BOOKING FORM IF YOU REQUIRE PICK UP FROM WILTON ROAD CAR PARK.
