The perfect day out for fine art, architecture, antiques and garden enthusiasts, Harewood House (north of Leeds) boasts all of these things in abundance. Harewood is proud to be one of the Treasure Houses of England, a collection of ten of the most magnificent palaces, houses and castles in England today.
Date & Timings: Saturday, 10th August 2013
Depart Melton Mowbray at 8.30 am. Arrive Harewood House at approx. 11.00 am.
Depart Harewood House at 5.00 pm. Arrive Melton Mowbray at approx. 7.30 pm.
Food outlets. The Courtyard Cafe, Fish and Chip Shop, Terrace Tea Rooms and picnic areas.
The cost of £25.00 per person includes coach travel, parking, gratuities and access to House and Gardens. Spare places may be offered to non-Society members who will be charged an additional £1 to secure temporary membership.
To reserve a place on the outing please return the completed booking form to the organizer with the full amount payable – cheques made out to the Melton Mowbray & District Historical Society – by 28th July. Please provide a stamp addressed envelope or an e-mail address so that receipt of your reservation may be acknowledged. Payments for reservations cancelled within 2 weeks of the outing may be partially refunded provided entrance tickets have not been purchased.
DEPARTURE AND ARRIVAL WILL BE FROM THE MELTON & DISTRICT INDOOR BOWLS CLUB, LEICESTER ROAD, MELTON MOWBRAY (NEAR B&Q DIY STORE). PLEASE INDICATE ON BOOKING FORM IF YOU REQUIRE PICK UP FROM WILTON ROAD CAR PARK.
